Nexus Physiotherapy · Care at home
Pain & injury at home
Assessment of muscle, joint or injury-related symptoms, hands-on care where appropriate and a practical exercise plan for the activities that matter to you.
Appointments depend on your address, travel and our diary.
Coverage details
Area pages help you plan a visit; they do not guarantee coverage for every address. We check your exact visit address, travel and clinician availability before showing appointment times.
When pain interrupts everyday life.
Whether you are struggling with a joint, a muscle problem or returning to activity after an injury, we start with what you want to get back to. A home visit lets us understand your difficulties in the setting where you experience them.
Who is home pain and injury care for?
- People with muscle or joint pain that makes ordinary movement difficult.
- People recovering from an injury who want to work on daily activities or exercise.
- People who find a home appointment more practical than travelling to a clinic.
What happens at your visit?
We discuss how the problem began, your health history and any care you have already received. Your physiotherapist assesses your movement and explains the findings, the proposed treatment and what to do next. There is time to ask questions before agreeing a plan.
How physiotherapy can help
- Understand your symptoms, movement and the activities you find difficult.
- Agree practical goals, from managing everyday tasks to returning to exercise.
- Begin appropriate treatment and exercises, with advice you can use between visits.
Before we arrive
- Wear comfortable clothing that lets us assess the affected area and your movement.
- Have any relevant scan reports, treatment advice or exercises available; you do not need to diagnose the problem yourself.
Self-pay, insurance or a health cash plan?
Self-pay & health cash plans
Standard home visits are £120 for 60 minutes. Pay online when booking and receive a paid itemised invoice.
Using a health cash plan
You can use it to claim according to your cash-plan cover. Check home-visit eligibility, limits and requirements with your provider first.
Private medical insurance
You can book eligible home visits online. Your insurer must cover home treatment with the treating physiotherapist.
What to have ready
Have your membership or policy number and authorisation, care or claim reference ready. Clinic recognition alone does not establish home-visit cover; an excess or shortfall may apply.
Questions before arranging care
Do I need to know what is causing the pain?
No. Explain what you are feeling and what has become difficult. The appointment starts with an assessment; you do not need to choose a diagnosis yourself.
Will I receive treatment at the first visit?
Treatment can begin during the first visit where appropriate. We first assess your needs and explain the options, including whether further assessment or a different service would be more suitable.
Can we work towards returning to sport?
Tell us about the sport or activity you want to return to. We can discuss whether home physiotherapy is suitable and build agreed goals around that activity.

Clinic, solicitor or employer referrals
Clinic appointments are at our Newham clinic in Plaistow. A home-area guide is not another clinic location.
For professional home referrals, agree suitability, location, funding and reporting with the team first. A normal online booking does not establish an agency or employer agreement.
Ready to arrange your visit?
Self-pay or eligible private insurance. Check the visit address and available times.
