Coverage details

Area pages help you plan a visit; they do not guarantee coverage for every address. We check your exact visit address, travel and clinician availability before showing appointment times.

Care shaped around your priorities.

Home physiotherapy can be a practical option when travelling to a clinic is difficult. We listen to the person receiving care and focus on the activities that matter to them, with sessions adapted to their abilities and health history.

Who is physiotherapy for older adults for?

  • Older adults whose strength or mobility has changed.
  • People rebuilding everyday movement after illness or a period of inactivity.
  • Families seeking physiotherapy that fits a relative’s abilities, routine and support needs.

What happens at your visit?

We discuss your health, what you can currently manage and what you would like help with. The assessment is adapted to you rather than following a fixed exercise routine. We explain the proposed care and any practical advice, then agree what happens next.

How physiotherapy can help

  • Understand difficulties with movement, strength and everyday activities.
  • Agree realistic goals and suitable exercises at an individual pace.
  • Involve a family member or carer in the plan, with the person’s agreement.
Before we arrive
  • Tell us about mobility, communication and access needs so the visit can be planned around the person.
  • Have usual mobility aids and relevant care advice ready; discuss whether a familiar person should attend.

Self-pay, insurance or a health cash plan?

Self-pay & health cash plans

Standard home visits are £120 for 60 minutes. Pay online when booking and receive a paid itemised invoice.

Using a health cash plan

You can use it to claim according to your cash-plan cover. Check home-visit eligibility, limits and requirements with your provider first.

Private medical insurance

You can book eligible home visits online. Your insurer must cover home treatment with the treating physiotherapist.

What to have ready

Have your membership or policy number and authorisation, care or claim reference ready. Clinic recognition alone does not establish home-visit cover; an excess or shortfall may apply.

Questions before arranging care

Can I arrange a visit for a parent or relative?

Yes. The person receiving treatment needs to agree to the visit. Tell us about their needs and whether you or a carer will be present.

Does the person need to be able to stand or walk?

Please explain their current abilities when you contact us. We can discuss whether a home physiotherapy assessment is appropriate and what support may be needed.

Does this include personal care?

No. This is a physiotherapy appointment, not a personal-care or emergency service. We discuss the person’s needs before arranging a suitable visit.

Clinic appointments are at our Newham clinic in Plaistow. A home-area guide is not another clinic location.

For professional home referrals, agree suitability, location, funding and reporting with the team first. A normal online booking does not establish an agency or employer agreement.
