Coverage details

Area pages help you plan a visit; they do not guarantee coverage for every address. We check your exact visit address, travel and clinician availability before showing appointment times.

Individual care within the resident's routine.

A physiotherapy visit starts with the resident's priorities, whether that means getting to the dining room, feeling more comfortable moving or working on recovery. Seeing the person in their care setting helps us understand their daily activities, available support and what a practical rehabilitation plan could involve.

Who are individual care-home visits for?

  • Residents needing individual support with mobility, balance or rehabilitation.
  • Residents working on practical activities such as getting between a bed and chair.
  • Families or care teams arranging physiotherapy alongside the resident’s existing care.

What happens at your visit?

We talk with the resident and, where appropriate, family or care staff about their health, routine and existing care plan. Assessment may include movement in a chair, transfers or walking, depending on their needs. We explain the findings and discuss the next steps, including any coordination needed with the wider care team.

How physiotherapy can help

  • Assess movement, strength, balance and the activities the resident finds difficult.
  • Agree goals that reflect the resident's priorities and current abilities.
  • Discuss suitable exercises and how agreed support can fit into everyday care.
Before we arrive
  • Agree access and timing with the care home, including who will meet the physiotherapist.
  • Have the resident’s usual mobility aids and relevant care guidance ready, with appropriate consent and support arrangements.

Self-pay, insurance or a health cash plan?

Self-pay & health cash plans

Standard home visits are £120 for 60 minutes. Pay online when booking and receive a paid itemised invoice.

Using a health cash plan

You can use it to claim according to your cash-plan cover. Check home-visit eligibility, limits and requirements with your provider first.

Private medical insurance

You can book eligible home visits online. Your insurer must cover home treatment with the treating physiotherapist.

What to have ready

Have your membership or policy number and authorisation, care or claim reference ready. Clinic recognition alone does not establish home-visit cover; an excess or shortfall may apply.

Questions before arranging care

Can a relative arrange a visit?

Yes, you can contact us about a resident's needs. We discuss their involvement, consent or appropriate decision-making arrangements, and coordination with the home before arranging care.

Can care staff take part?

Where appropriate and agreed, staff can help us understand the resident's routine and discuss how a plan might be supported. Involvement and information sharing are considered with the resident and their care arrangements.

Does the resident need to be able to walk?

No. Explain their current abilities and the tasks that are difficult. Assessment can consider movement in bed or a chair as well as standing and walking, where suitable.

Clinic, solicitor or employer referrals

Clinic appointments are at our Newham clinic in Plaistow. A home-area guide is not another clinic location.

For professional home referrals, agree suitability, location, funding and reporting with the team first. A normal online booking does not establish an agency or employer agreement.
