Sports Injury Rehabilitation near Stratford

Work towards returning to your sport with rehabilitation shaped around your injury and training demands.

Care shaped around your goals

An injury can change how much training you can tolerate, even when you feel ready to restart. We look at your sport, recent load, symptoms and goals, then agree a staged return that responds to how you recover between sessions.

When an assessment may help

  • Acute sport and gym injuries
  • Overuse symptoms linked to training load
  • Athletes returning after time off
  • Active adults needing staged return-to-sport guidance

Your physiotherapy appointment

  • Sport-specific assessment and movement analysis
  • Pain, load, and tissue-capacity management
  • Strength, control, and conditioning progressions
  • Structured return-to-training checkpoints
How your rehabilitation progresses
  1. Injury profiling

We assess symptoms, aggravating loads, and training context to build an accurate rehabilitation starting point.

  2. Rehabilitation blocks

Exercise, strength and conditioning are adjusted to your current capacity. We discuss how to change training while symptoms settle and function returns.

  3. Return-to-sport progression

We review sport-relevant tasks, symptom response and confidence before advancing running, gym or other training demands. The plan is individual rather than a fixed timetable.

Your visit from Stratford

The journey planner starts at Stratford station, not Stratford International. Select the station or address you actually use and check the full route to Prince Regent Lane, including walking and any changes.

If you travel through Stratford for work or training, decide which starting point gives you a manageable appointment day. Bring your usual training shoes if running or exercise is the activity you need assessed.

What to prepare before travelling
  • Bring a brief outline of your sport, weekly training and recent changes in load.
  • Tell us about competitions or return-to-sport goals without assuming a fixed recovery date.
  • Bring the footwear you normally train in if it is relevant to your injury.

Directions use an example starting point, not a guaranteed travel time. Check current routes and access requirements before setting off.

Before you book

Do I have to stop all exercise before my appointment?

What you can continue depends on the injury and any medical advice you have already received. At the assessment, we discuss tolerable activity and how to change training. Do not use a booking as a reason to delay urgent medical care for a significant new injury.

Choose how you pay

Self-pay or health cash plan

A 30-minute physiotherapy appointment is £60. You do not need a GP referral to book self-pay. If claiming through a cash plan, check eligibility and receipt requirements with your provider first.

Private health insurance

Check that your plan covers your condition, the Newham clinic and your chosen physiotherapist. Have your authorisation details ready; cover and any excess depend on your policy.
