Patient information
Cookie Policy
This page explains cookie usage on the Nexus website and how visitors can manage preferences.
Storage Needed for the Website
Some browser storage supports booking and remembers your privacy choice. This is separate from optional analytics.
- Booking storage can preserve progress and help recover an interrupted request
- Your analytics preference is stored in this browser when you make a choice
- Blocking browser storage may affect booking recovery and remembering your preferences
Optional Advertising Measurement
Advertising measurement, if enabled, requires its own opt-in, separate from analytics. Signed first-party cookies remember that choice and an eligible Google ad click for up to 24 hours. The automatic server option measures confirmed clinic bookings and requires fresh permission; earlier paid self-pay, Return home or analytics permission does not enable insured-booking measurement without a new choice. Declining does not affect booking or care.
- Declining does not affect your appointment, price or ability to book
- We do not send patient details, insurer, health information, appointment times, private booking links or booking identifiers to Google
- This is not personalised advertising, remarketing or enhanced conversion measurement
- Use Cookie settings in the footer to withdraw advertising permission
- A saved withdrawal stops future unsent measurements; one already being sent cannot be recalled. If saving fails, we say so and let you retry without blocking booking
- Selecting automatic server measurement disables the older Return home browser tag. Only the ad click, confirmed completion time and a fixed booking count are sent by the server
Optional Analytics
Where enabled, optional analytics requires your permission before it runs. Declining does not prevent you from using the website or booking.
- Consented analytics can count general interactions, Ask Nexus actions and confirmed bookings without including chat content, patient or clinical details in those measurements
- Google Analytics cookies may be used on selected general-information pages if that service is configured and you accept
- Tab storage helps avoid counting the same confirmed booking repeatedly; booking identifiers are not sent with analytics events
- The clinic and booking websites share your analytics preference in a first-party cookie for up to 180 days; this does not enable advertising measurement
- After an accepted anonymous booking signal, first-party cookies can remember only pending event names and a preference revision for up to 24 hours. Google receives these signals only if you return to a selected general-information page with analytics allowed
Changing Your Choice
When optional controls are available, select Cookie settings in the footer to manage analytics and advertising permissions separately at any time.
- Withdrawing permission stops future optional measurements and clears pending analytics events
- You can also clear cookies and site storage through your browser settings
- A choice applies to this browser, so another browser or device may ask again
