Self-pay and claim back

Physiotherapy with a Simplyhealth cash plan

Choose self-pay when booking Nexus physiotherapy with a Simplyhealth cash plan. After treatment, claim the eligible amount using your Simplyhealth account or app.

You pay Nexus first. Your provider decides what your plan will reimburse.

Check the physiotherapy benefit, then keep the receipt

Simplyhealth's claims guidance asks for your name, practitioner details, treatment, date and total cost. Its online claim journey lets you choose the policy, person and treatment and review the benefit balance. Check your own plan's physiotherapy entitlement before booking rather than assuming another Simplyhealth product has the same cover.

Before paying for your visit

  • Is physiotherapy included for the person attending?
  • What benefit limit, payback rate and balance apply to this treatment?
  • What practitioner information and claim deadline does my policy require?

Your invoice and treatment details

Keep the paid itemised Nexus invoice and contact us if you need additional treating-physiotherapist or attendance details for the claim. Only describe the treatment actually provided, even where hands-on techniques or exercise form part of the physiotherapy session.

Keep a copy of your evidence and use your provider's secure claims service. Please do not send policy documents or payment details through a public website message.

Your appointment at Nexus

We assess your symptoms, explain the findings and agree a recovery plan. Treatment may include hands-on care and exercise, depending on what is appropriate for you.

Simplyhealth booking questions

Do I use the private insurance booking option?

No. A Simplyhealth cash-plan appointment uses self-pay: you pay Nexus and submit your own claim after treatment. Your plan decides the amount it reimburses.

Can I claim for a family member?

Check whether that person is covered under your Simplyhealth policy and select the correct claimant when submitting. The treatment receipt must identify the person who actually attended.

Does every Simplyhealth policy include physiotherapy?

Do not assume so. Check the benefit table, available balance and conditions for your specific plan. A provider name alone does not establish entitlement.

Ready for your appointment?

Choose self-pay when booking. Keep your plan checks and claim evidence separate from your appointment confirmation.
