Self-pay and claim back
Physiotherapy with a Paycare cash plan
Using Paycare for physiotherapy? Check your benefit first, book Nexus as self-pay and claim after you have received and paid for your appointment.
You pay Nexus first. Your provider decides what your plan will reimburse.
Check the deadline from the date you pay
Paycare's current claims guidance says to submit within 13 weeks of payment. This matters if you pay before the visit: do not assume the clock starts when you submit a claim. Its qualification directory lists HCPC for physiotherapy; ask Paycare to check your practitioner if you are unsure.
Before paying for your visit
- Does my Paycare plan cover physiotherapy and what allowance remains?
- Is the treating physiotherapist eligible under Paycare's qualification requirements?
- What date is my claim deadline if I pay online before attending?
Your invoice and treatment details
Paycare asks for a headed or practice-stamped receipt showing your name, treatment and payment dates, cost and services, plus the treating clinician's name and qualifications for therapy claims. Check your paid Nexus invoice and ask us for missing details after attending.
Keep a copy of your evidence and use your provider's secure claims service. Please do not send policy documents or payment details through a public website message.
Your appointment at Nexus
We assess your symptoms, explain the findings and agree a recovery plan. Treatment may include hands-on care and exercise, depending on what is appropriate for you.

Paycare booking questions
Can I claim before attending because I have already paid?
No: this cash-plan journey is to claim after the treatment has been received and paid for. Check Paycare's payment-based deadline so an advance booking does not delay your submission beyond the allowed period.
How do I send my Paycare receipt?
Paycare's online process accepts a clear photograph or scanned document. Follow the current instructions for your plan and keep the original treatment evidence.
Will Nexus collect payment from Paycare?
No. Book and pay as self-pay for this cash-plan route. You submit the claim and Paycare decides whether, and how much, to reimburse under your policy.
Ready for your appointment?
Choose self-pay when booking. Keep your plan checks and claim evidence separate from your appointment confirmation.
This is Nexus booking guidance, not confirmation of your policy benefits. Follow your provider's current terms. Compare insurance and cash-plan booking routes.
