Have Medicash through work or a personal plan? Book your Nexus appointment as self-pay, then submit an eligible claim after treatment under your own cover.
You pay Nexus first. Your provider decides what your plan will reimburse.
Prepare the treatment evidence Medicash needs
Medicash asks for a fully paid receipt with the treating practitioner's name, address and qualifications, the patient's name and address, and the treatment date, description and cost. A card-payment slip alone is not enough. Check the receipt before uploading it through My Medicash or its online claims service.

Your invoice and treatment details
We provide a paid itemised invoice after payment. If it does not contain every treatment or clinician detail required by your plan, contact Nexus after your visit for the additional information. A payment before your appointment does not show that treatment has taken place.
Keep a copy of your evidence and use your provider's secure claims service. Please do not send policy documents or payment details through a public website message.

We assess your symptoms, explain the findings and agree a recovery plan. Treatment may include hands-on care and exercise, depending on what is appropriate for you.

Medicash booking questions
Should I select Medicash as private insurance?
For a Medicash cash-plan claim, choose self-pay. You pay Nexus and make your own claim to Medicash; this is different from an authorised, direct-billed private insurance appointment.
Does my payment confirmation count as a Medicash receipt?
Check it against Medicash's receipt list. A card slip or document without the treatment and practitioner details may not be sufficient. Ask Nexus for missing information rather than submitting incomplete evidence.
Will Medicash refund the full fee?
Only Medicash can confirm what your policy will reimburse. Your available benefit, reimbursement rate and claim rules determine the amount; booking with Nexus is not a guarantee of payment.
